ABOUT

Morgan Johnson is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, and developer, living and working in Brooklyn, NY. * She specializes in branding and product design for a range of industries-from tech to publishing, apparel, arts, and culture. Morgan enjoys telling stories, problem-solving, and creating seamless design experiences by working closely with founders and marketing teams. Her design approach is equal parts analytical and creative.

* TL;DR: Morgan designs brands, websites, and tools. She codes occasionally, too.

After several years of freelancing, she launched Always on Deadline, a full-service design and technology studio, where she serves as creative lead. In 2019, she founded Leigh NY, an apparel brand bridging vintage and contemporary silhouettes. Her work with Leigh has been published in Vogue, Beyoncé, InStyle, and BOF.

Previously, Morgan was an Associate Art Director at Condé Nast and a Digital Designer at Ralph Lauren. She's worked with large companies like Google and Netflix, as well as robust design teams like Condé Nast and Opening Ceremony. Morgan holds a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (with a minor in Art History).

Outside of design, she enjoys strong coffee, amateur gardening, marathon training/running, sewing/machine knitting, biking, and deep diving on the interweb.
